Beadlam Tractor Run
Charity tractor run · North Yorkshire
The challenge
The Beadlam Tractor Run is a massive convoy of tractors crossing the North Yorkshire dales for charity — but the route is spread over miles of country lanes, and spectators had no way of knowing when the tractors would pass their village.
“The convoy’s two hours away one minute and on your doorstep the next. People stood around, then drifted off. We knew we were losing money on the day.”
What we did
One CiraLocal tracker went on the lead tractor. We posted the share link on the run’s Facebook page the morning of the event, and spectators followed the whole convoy in real time — watching it snake through the dales from the comfort of their garden gate, and heading out exactly when it was near them.
The results
The 2025 run was the smoothest the organisers have run — and the biggest yet.
- 200+ spectators watching the live map on the day
- 38% more raised than the previous year
“It allowed our supporters to follow our progress in real time, significantly boosting engagement and directly increasing our fundraising totals. It’ll be on the lead tractor every year from now on.”
